Terms and Conditions

Payment Due
You pay, I’ll bake! Payment is required up front so that I can source the supplies needed to make your vision come to be. Your payment will reserve your pick-up date too!

Delivery Clause
All orders are pick-up in Kingwood Texas or The Woodlands Texas unless delivery is coordinated at time of ordering. Delivery can be an option at my discretion for an additional fee. I love a good drive (bonus if that drive is past a Starbucks!).

Pick-up Dates and Times
Due dates are needed at time of ordering to check availability but if you need to adjust your pickup date (because, hey, things happen!), please let me know at least 2 weeks in advance. Delivery and pick up times on your date are coordinated the week of pickup to allow for schedule changes.

Procreate Rendering
Procreate mock-ups can be ordered at least 3 weeks before your due date. You'll get your rendering within 1 week of placing your order. The mock-up fee is non-refundable, and you're allowed up to 2 revisions prior to the change cut-off date. Keep in mind, because of the nature of royal icing, food coloring, and human decorating, the final product, colors, and fonts might look a little different from the mock-up but the overall vibe will match. 

No show = No Product
Your cookies and cakes are best enjoyed fresh. Not showing up to the agreed upon pick-up time forfeits your order. But take heart, they will be donated to a family in need. Need to reschedule your pick-up? No problem! Please reach out 7 days prior to your pickup time.

Cancellations
I can offer refunds up to 1 month prior to the initial event date excluding any special items that have been ordered. Unfortunately, after that time, I cannot offer refunds, but the good news – you get your treats!

Change Cutoff
Decisions are tough! But I’m here to help. Order changes can be made up to 2 weeks prior to the event, pending approval by me. Details such as order size, complexity and items that need to be ordered are taken into account when determining availability and pricing. Certain changes may not be able to be accommodated for the date you prefer. Please check with me before making any permanent changes on your end. No changes can be made within 2 weeks of the due date.

Inspiration
Thanks tons for sending those inspiration pictures! They are just that – inspiring. But your cookies and cakes may not be perfect replicas – I’ll try to keep it close. If you have a specific design element that your heart is really set on, please let me know so I can do my best to accommodate that.

Packaging
All cakes come boxed for easy transportation. Once cakes are cut, any leftovers should be placed in an airtight container to maintain freshness for up to 3 days. All cookies come individually heat sealed in a cellophane bag for freshness at no additional charge. Have extra cookies leftover after your event? It's your lucky day! The cookies remain fresh in this bag at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. Have a lot of extras? Pop those babies in the freezer and enjoy for up to 4 months. When you're ready to eat one, just pull it out of the freezer, let it come to room temp in it's original bag and then enjoy! Freezer=good, refrigerator=bad. Never store your cookies in the fridge.

In a hurry?
While I can’t always accommodate last minute orders, I will make my best effort to. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 14 days will require a rush fee.

Price Adjustments
All prices are subject to change. Prices are often dictated by ingredients costs. I’m always trying to provide the best tasting cookies to my clients. This also means that I can’t honor old pricing (because the grocery store won’t honor their old flour prices – darn it).

Product Photography
Say Cheese!! I love to show off the amazing designs we create together which means you may see your cookies and cakes used on social media or for marketing. If you do not want your cookies in the spotlight, please let me know at the time you place your order. Secrets are safe with me. You are welcome to post photos on your social media and I would be absolutely thrilled if you would tag me!

Pictures are worth a thousand words
But they are not always accurate. Colors and lighting in photos may be slightly different than what you may end up with. I do my best to match colors to your inspiration photo but I'm only a human working with a limited number of colors and a medium that likes to shift colors as it dries. I cannot promise an exact match but it will be close!

It’s All Yours Now.
Once you pick-up your order (thanks again, by the way), what happens to your cookies and cake is all on you! Keep 'em cool, keep 'em safe, keep ‘em stored correctly.

No Ghosts
(I’m easily spooked). To get your order juuust right, I’ll need you to reply to my messages within 24 hours – otherwise, I may just have to wing it (I’m good at wingin’ it – just ask my eyeliner). Questions for me? Please give me about 24 hours to reply – I’m usually covered in dough!

Achoo! Allergies?
Baked goods are often made with foods that can be known allergens. While I do my best to prevent cross contamination, I cannot claim to be allergy free and therefore, cannot accommodate allergen restrictions. While I would love to earn your business, your safety is most important.

Cottage Food Laws
This order will be produced in a private residence that is not subject to governmental licensing or inspection. Our kitchen is not nut free, egg free, dairy free, or gluten free. Boring disclaimer, but we have to say it per the law. *tips cowboy hat* *straightens Sheriff pin*

In Sickness and in Health
While death will never do us part, you’re consuming food and with the consumption of anything there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities – albeit hopefully far reaching.

Weather Clause
If pickup is impossible due to inclement weather, your order will be packaged for a later pickup date. Unfortunately, no refunds can be offered due to weather (darn rain), but I will make sure your order is kept as fresh as possible!

Refunds
While I want you to love your cookies and cakes, if you are not satisfied with your order, please let me know as soon as possible so I can make it right!

Bulk Order?
Due to the custom work required for each set of cookies and cakes, I am unable to extend discounts regardless of quantity or size. If you have a specific budget you are working with, feel free to let me know in advance and I’ll do my best to offer you a solution that fits your budget.

What Happens If I (your baker) have an emergency??
My super power may be baking amazing sweets but unfortunately, I am not indestructible. In the event that I become ill or injured and cannot fulfill your order, I will reach out to you immediately to discuss a full refund and provide referrals to other local bakers.

You've Submitted The Form, Now What?!
I try to respond within 1 business day regarding your inquiry. The email will come from hello@dapplebakery.com which sometimes goes to spam the first time (dang it!) so if you haven't heard from me, check that darned folder! If there is still no email, I promise, I will get back to you by Monday at the very latest.
